IHG has partnered with TopGuest.com to offer 50 Priority Club points per “check-in” at IHG hotels per day.
Mobile applications like Four Square allow you to check-in to places based on your GPS coordinates. I’ve used the FourSquare application for the IPhone and it’s pretty straight forward.
While certainly not in the spirit of this promotion, I do know that you could technically drive up to the IHG property, check in via the mobile app to bank the points, and drive away.
It certainly is worthwhile to sign up for the program and download an app like FourSquare to take advantage.
The USA Today article describing the partnership is here.
@ Jason – How do you get 50 pts? When I check in to a Holiday Inn Express I only get 1 pt…
@Mon – you have to go setup an account at http://www.topguest.com. You then put in your Priority Club number and finally link your foursquare account.
Foursquare will still give you 1 point in the foursquare application but topguest is the one that will send 50 points with every foursquare checkin to your Priority Club account
Guess it helps that I work next door to a Holiday Inn Express…
