We were blessed with great weather the entire time we were in Maui. Clear skies and only a couple of very short rain bursts. For breakfast, we ate the free continental breakfast at the Sheraton restaurant.
For lunch, we tried Cafe Olei at the Maui Lani Golf Course per my uncle’s recommendation. I had the Bill Ebey burger with grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and lettuce on a sesame bun.
By this time, we were pretty stuffed and had pretty much sampled all the local cuisine we wanted. So we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed the afternoon at the pool one last time.

Laundromat
By this time we had pretty much run out of clothes to wear and headed to a local laundromat that we had searched online for. The laundromat wasn’t in the best area of town, but we threw our clothes in anyway, and took of to dinner while they washed. We came back 1 1/2 hours later and threw them in the dryer and just hung out there waiting for them to finish. It was not too much of an inconvenience to go to the laundromat and certainly beat trying to pack 9 days worth of clothes.

Our flights home
Even though I am usually a Delta guy, United has great flight availability to Maui. Even though it required a connection in San Francisco, we were able to find two low value frequent flier tickets without any problems with United. And, it didn’t require a red eye flight.
Our flights back were:
OGG 11:53 AM to SFO 7:51 PM on a 767-300
SFO to SNA 8:37 PM to 10:09 PM on an A-319
We drove the twelve hours back to Utah the following day completely satisfied with our inexpensive trip to Maui using Starpoints and United miles.
What time of year did you go to Maui? My wife and I will be there on Friday. I wanted to know how the waves would be…
@AndreD – went in July.
