Man Travels with 80 Falcons in Economy Class

A contributor on Reddit posted this picture of 80 Falcons sitting in Economy class. The contributor stated that the picture was sent by a Captain on the flight and that a “Saudi prince” purchased economy class tickets for the 80 falcons.

One of the commentators pointed out that this couldn’t have been a Qatar flight as their terms and conditions limit 1 falcon per passenger and a maximum of 6 falcons per flight.

Falcons

You are permitted to carry one falcon on board the Economy Class passenger cabin of an aircraft, and a maximum of six falcons are permitted within the Economy Class cabin of an aircraft (country regulations may apply).

There’s even a pricing guide for the cost of seats for falcons.

In the United Arab Emirates, falcons are even issued their own passport which are good for 3 years.

I don’t have a lot of experience being around falcons or hawks and so I can’t comment on how disruptive they would be on a flight. I do know that hawks can only take one dead animal on a plane – because you are only allowed one piece of carrion.
