Idaho loves their potatoes and according to the Idaho Potato Commission, Idaho produces 30% of the entire United States’ fresh potatoes. Local businesses even run ads for “Free Taters for Out of Staters”.
In Boise, Idaho you can now stay the night in a six ton potato for only $200 / night.
The six ton potato was used several years ago to promote the Idaho potato industry. After the campaign was over, Kristin Wolfe decided to repurpose the potato into a place that you could stay.
The potato has a queen-sized bed that sleeps two, air-conditioning and a small bathroom. If you happen to be in Boise, Idaho – consider sleeping in the world’s first potato airbnb.
