Elizabeth Smart, who survived a horrific kidnapping that included being raped daily by her kidnapper when she was 14, revealed today on CBS This Morning, that she was assaulted last year on a Delta Airlines flight.
Elizabeth was asleep on the Delta flight and woke up to a man touching her inappropriately on her thigh. She was so shocked and it was so traumatizing that she didn’t know what to do. She expected the man to apologize or try to but he said nothing. Elizabeth reported the incident to Delta Airlines who she lays no blame on and eventually the matter was turned over to the FBI. It is currently an ongoing investigation.
